A sea of runners and walkers moved past our stage at the beginning of the St. Jude marathon. These folks were there to give thier efforts in support of a place that deals with the reality of cancer every day but also a hospital that believes that each child there represents the future and should have as much of a future as they can! We cheered, sang and teared up as we saw folks of every walk of life, age, creed and race set aside differences for the fight to help children. St. Jude is the patron saint of lost causes. With each runner there we came closer to making the cure for childhood disease a reality!
